Residential and commercial developer KW Linfoot has expanded its head office in Leeds to incorporate an in-house solicitor.
Paul Cooper, 33, joins the company from law firm Walker Morris, where he has spent five years as an associate in the banking division advising corporate clients about finance agreements.
Cooper was appointed to the newly created role at KW Linfoot in January, and will provide legal support as the company diversifies into new markets within the UK and overseas. He will provide advice to the board of directors and the team as a whole.
“I am keen to add value to the company by getting involved much earlier in commercial transactions, and ensuring that proceedings run even smoother,” he said.
Chairman Kevin Linfoot added: “The property market is becoming increasingly competitive, and I feel that the company and our clients will benefit greatly from the skills and expertise that Paul has to offer from a legal perspective.”
Prior to his employment at Walker Morris, Paul undertook his solicitor’s training between a London-based commercial property firm and Citibank, where he spent four years in a mix of private and corporate client banking.
