Property Litigation Association appoints new chair

The Property Litigation Association (PLA) has appointed Louise Clark, partner at Charles Russell Speechlys, as its new chair.

Louise was elected to the year-long position at the PLA’s AGM last Thursday at Ironmongers’ Hall, London, along with members of the new executive committee. She succeeds Jonathan Ross of Forsters.

Speaking of her appointment, Clark said: “I am delighted to be appointed as chair of the Property Litigation Association at this exciting time. Our membership is at a record high and we are very active with opportunities for members for training and networking in all areas of the country. We are also lobbying for changes in law and procedure which will assist our members on a number of fronts.

“Over the coming year the executive committee aims to extend the reach of the association and to develop and extend our relationships with other professional organisations including the RICS, CRELA and ARBRIX for the benefit of all our members.”

Mark Reading of Mishcon de Reya was also appointed as the representative of the junior PLA.
