The Tchenguiz brothers are trying to get a £2bn lawsuit against Kaupthing heard in London.
Trustees for Vincent and Robert Tchenguiz are seeking recognition as creditors of the bank even though both owed millions to the failed Icelandic institution at the time of its collapse, its loan book shows. The trustees allege that assets Kaupthing seized worth billions of pounds were done so wrongfully. Kaupthing opposes the allegations and the brothers’ attempt to get the case heard in London.
