BP Amoco’s decision to sell 3,000 petrol stations worldwide will only affect about 12 UK sites.
The stations will either be sold to other oil companies or closed and sold for redevelopment to raise up to £1bn
The BP pension fund last week said it was selling its Berkeley Square estate in Mayfair, in London’s West End.
