1,200-home Dublin scheme gets go-ahead

Permission has been granted for a 1,243-home development in Barnhill, Dublin.

Alanna Homes and Alcove Ireland Four have received approval to develop the £206m scheme.

The 73-acre site will include 804 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, arranged across 27 buildings that will reach up to 12 storeys.

The scheme will also provide 117 duplex apartments and 322 detached, semi-detached and terraced houses.

Plans also include the development of a childcare centre, medical centre, café, retail units, a community centre, land provision for a 16-classroom primary school, and outdoor sports areas and amenities.
