200 new homes in City & Docklands plan

City & Docklands has submitted plans for 200 build-to-rent homes to the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation. The plans involve a 19-storey tower and include 67 homes for discount market rent, equating to 35%, in line with the new mayor’s draft Affordable Housing & Viability SPG.

The scheme on Scrubs Lane, NW10, lies opposite both North Kensington Gate schemes by Aurora Developments. The North site will provide 48 homes up to 11 storeys, with the South site’s 164 homes up to 22 storeys. Both schemes will act as a landmark gateway to the Old Oak and Park Royal Opportunity Area from the south-east.

The Cargiant site is also set to provide around 6,700 homes and lies immediately to the west.

The development will provide around 8,000 sq ft of mixed-use commercial space along with 4,000 sq ft for artists’ studios.

The scheme is designed by Make Architects. Quod is advising on planning.
