Liverpool City Council has recommended approving F2A’s plans to redevelop a city centre site into a 273-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme.
Oldham Place in Roscoe Street has prior approval for an eight-storey PBSA building containing 213 beds and a ground-floor retail unit.
F2A said the revised scheme was “designed to create a deliverable (viable) scheme, which through careful appraisal of the site context, the local market for student accommodation, and the investment funding requirements, there is a need to create a larger development.”
The scheme comprises 273 beds spread across 22 studios and 63 clusters.
The 0.3-acre site was used as a car park until 2005.
