A new fashion chain, codenamed Project 50, is hunting for 50 stores across the UK before a planned launch in July.
Savills has been appointed to find the stores, between 3000 and 5000sq ft. The first lease is expected to be signed within days and many more are expected to follow in the coming weeks.
The chain is led by former Asda chief Andy Bond, who ran the grocer’s George clothing division, and the former head of Sainsbury’s Tu clothing range Adrian Mountford.
It plans to sell affordable fashion to compete with the supermarkets, focusing on mothers and children.
