All 60 high-rise apartment blocks tested so far have failed fire safety tests over their cladding, the Department for Communities and Local Government said.
The buildings that failed the tests are spread across England, from Sunderland in the north to Plymouth in the southeast, and also include seven London boroughs. Details are still to be released for 27 buildings in 11 local authority areas that failed the test.
Meanwhile, the Association of British Insurers warned ministers last month that building regulations needed to be reviewed due to failure to keep pace with modern construction methods.
