Liverpool planners have given the green light to a £60m student project by developer Downing and pensions firm AJ Bell.
Four student towers are proposed in the city centre covering 860 student beds.
These include 317 beds on the corner of Devon Street and Moss Street in a single eight to 10-storey tower.
Meanwhile, three further six-to-nine storey towers have also been approved by the same company, on Gildart Street and Devon Street, covering 544 beds.
