Taylor Wimpey has gained planning consent for 650 homes in Crewe, Cheshire.
The housebuilder will construct the homes as well as a pub, shop and play area, on a 24.2-acre site at Coppenhall East.
The £50m investment scheme had originally met local opposition, but Cheshire east council has now approved the project.
