760-bed Wembley PBSA project set to get go-ahead

Wembley Edge Property is expected to receive planning permission from Brent Council for the development of 759 student bedrooms in Wembley, north west London.

The brownfield site, located at Fifth Way, is currently occupied by a waste management company and is a West London Waste Plan-protected site.

The proposed application for the site is arranged in two parcels, with the larger parcel spanning one acre to the south of Fifth Way and a smaller parcel of almost 0.4 acres to the north.

The scheme will be delivered across seven buildings ranging from five to 15 storeys.

Wembley Edge’s proposal also includes 13,000 sq ft of light industrial floorspace and a 1,100 sq ft café.

The student bed mix will include 192 cluster rooms and 567 studio rooms. A minimum of 50% of these bedrooms will be provided as affordable student accommodation.
