Slovakian developer HB Reavis has appointed a heavyweight duo to its UK board to help steer the company as it takes on a burgeoning London pipeline.
City grandee Michael Cassidy and construction veteran Steve Hollingshead will join the firm as non-executive directors.
Cassidy, who will join the company in the spring, has served on the board at British Land as well as at companies including UBS, Trinity Capital and P2P Global.
He is a senior non-executive director at Crossrail and chairman-designate of Ebbsfleet Garden City.
As well as private sector posts, Cassidy has also held several senior positions at the City Corporation, including planning chairman in the 1980s, leader of the council in the mid-1990s and chairman of the City Corporation’s Property Investment Board.
Hollingshead, who will join HB Reavis immediately, has spent most of his 35-year career at Laing O’Rourke, where he has held roles including chief executive of the group’s Australian business, managing director of European infrastructure and leader of the group’s involvement in the Cheesegrater scheme.
