BNP PRE hires Steel for new corporate division

Jonathan-Steel-BNP-PRE-THUMBBNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Jonathan Steel as head of global corporate solutions as part of a strategic drive to expand its international corporate real estate division.

He joins from CBRE where he spent five years, most recently as global alliance director for Barclays, managing the bank’s 15m sq ft portfolio.

At BNP PRE Steel will report to deputy chief executive Lauric Leclerc and UK chief executive John Slade and will be responsible for expanding the company’s international occupier business.

He will lead a new global corporate solutions team to advise corporates on global real estate strategy including the consolidation or relocation of premises, transaction management, building consultancy and workplace consultancy.

Prior to joining CBRE Steel spent 12 years at Cushman & Wakefield in the corporate service team, rising to the position of partner.
