Aberdeen Property investors buys £4.1m warehouse

Aberdeen Property Investors has bought a 48,000 sq ft warehouse in Cambridgeshire for £4.1m.

The firm has bought unit 18, on the Interchange industrial estate in Huntingdon, from private clients of Doherty Baines. The price refects a 6.5% yield.

The warehouse is let to specialist meat-packing business the Hilton Food Group. The company has 22 years remaining on its lease, which includes fixed annual rental increases.

Ed Crockett, of Aberdeen Property Investors, said: “This strategic purchase, let on a long lease to a single tenant, complements the multi-let nature of the adjacent estate, which was purchased by the fund in April. It reflects our appetite for well-located, grade A property, let on long leases to good covenants.”

DTZ advised Aberdeen on the acquisition.
