Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions is joining up with developer Mount Anvil to construct apartment blocks near to the ExCel London conference centre, which it owns, according to people with knowledge of the matter.
The joint venture could build as many as 1,000 homes on the site, which is currently used for car-parking.
Planning permission has not been applied for yet, the people said.
