Acadia Healthcare of the US has agreed the purchase of the Priory Group, best known for its clinic in Roehampton in southwest London, for £1.28bn in cash. Acadia will also issue 5.36m of new shares to Priory Group’s current owners, Advent International, giving a total deal size of £1.5bn.
Advent paid £925m for Priory when it bought it five years ago.
The Priory Group has 322 facilities in the UK.
