Access Self Storage has secured another build-to-rent planning consent, adding to its growing portfolio across London.
The investor was this week granted consent for 138 flats and an 86,300 sq ft replacement storage facility at Sturt’s Yard on Eagle Wharf Road in Hackney, N1.
The scheme will replace the existing self-storage building with a mixed-use scheme comprising four blocks of flats of between two and seven storeys. The self- storage element has been valued at £20m, with a further £83.7m for the BTR, based on a stabilised product.
Access Self Storage has been growing the portfolio across its network of 60 sites in London since 2017. The first scheme proposed 63 BTR homes on top of a 60,000 sq ft facility. Schemes have become larger, with developments in Raynes Park (110), Twickenham (123), Brentford (102), Hayes (165), and more recently, consent in Wembley for 600 flats.
