Acciuga to open in Farringdon

Italian chain Acciuga is to open a restaurant at Smithfield Eatery, 62-63 Long Lane, EC1, opposite the new Farringdon Crossrail station.

The restaurant owners have taken the remaining 13 years of the lease for the 1,000 sq ft building from restaurant Chabrot Bistrot des Halles.

The landlord is a joint venture between Guinness Mahon Trust Corporation Limited and Russell Mark Abrahams. The rent has not been disclosed.

This will be the second Acciuga to open; the first opened on Kensington High Street in summer 2013.

Sally French, a surveyor at Restaurant Property, which advised, said: “Farringdon is set to become something of a hub in the capital and this can only be a positive for a restaurant with the pedigree and reputation of Accuiga.”
