Developer and investor Accrue Capital has submitted an outline planning application to Trafford Council for 433 build-to-rent homes on a brownfield site on Great Stone Road, Old Trafford.
Buildings will range in height from six to 12 storeys, with the affordable housing still to be decided during the application process.
Indigo Planning and Manchester-based architects O’Connell East are advising on the application for the former B&Q site, which sits close to Old Trafford cricket ground.
Stephen Webster, chairman of Accrue Capital, said: “The plans we have submitted today reflect the insights we received during the consultation process and have been carefully put together to ensure that Trafford Place delivers the maximum benefit possible to the local area.”
