Acorn gets go-ahead for Muswell Hill mixed-use scheme

Acorn Property Group has received the go-ahead for a £7m mixed-use scheme in Muswell Hill, north London.

The resi-led scheme will include 10 flats, four houses and the redevelopment of South Friern Library on Colney Hatch Lane.

Hampson Williams, architects for the three-floor scheme are, have designed the scheme to integrate with Sutton Road and Colney Hatch shopping parade.

Acorn managing director, Romy Summerskill, said: “In an urban environment there is a need for developers to get the most out of a building, making it work for its local community.

“At South Friern Library we will be create an exceptional bespoke scheme promoting new architecture that excites and adds something to the vibrancy of its environment.”

Acorn, who has developed in the South East for the past decade, has recently opened offices in Yorkshire and the Midlands and will expand into the South West in 2007.
