Acorn wins permission for 65 new homes in South Devon

Acorn Property Group has been granted outline planning permission for 65 homes on a greenfield site in the coastal village of Chillington, South Devon.

The site sits on the edge of the South Hams Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Robin Squire, regional managing director of Acorn Bristol, said: “Achieving planning on a site bordering an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty has its challenges and is a great achievement for us but proves yet again that good design, planning expertise and hard work, does pay off.”

In 2015 Acorn Bristol exchanged on an option agreement for the land while seeking planning permission. It will now progress with the detailed design and reserved matters.

It aims to begin construction buy the end of the year.
