Two CBRE directors have resigned from the business to join niche start-up ACRE Capital Real Estate.
Executive director Roddy Mackay and director George Wilson, both in the industrial and logistics capital markets team, are to leave the firm to bolster ACRE’s investment capabilities.
Mackay had been with CBRE for 14 years, while Wilson had been with the company for nine.
ACRE was established in February by former CBRE executive directors Ed Gamble and James Leach alongside Mark Wilson, former international director at JLL. Holly Richardson, a former director at CBRE has since joined as a partner, as well as Will Nelson, who has joined from JLL as an associate.
Since ACRE was established it has advised on deals including the £41m purchase of a 214,000 sq ft Travis Perkins warehouse in Coventry for South African investor Equities and the £33.5m purchase of Rivers Office Park, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire, for TH Real Estate.
