Media tenants are currently dominating occupier movement in the West End. Bartle Bogle Hegarty’s long-awaited move to the First West building at 60 Kingly Street, W1, has been confirmed by landlord the Crown Estate.
The advertising agency has signed a 15-year lease, with a break in the 10th year, at £22.50 per sq ft (£242.19 per m2). It also receives a capital payment and an 18-month rent-free period.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty has been linked with First West since May, although there was speculation that the 54,175 sq ft (5,032m2) might go to M&C Saatchi.
Edward Charles & Partners represented Bartle Bogle Hegarty. Chesterton and Hillier Parker advised the Crown.
Edward Charles currently has three media-based requirements totalling 150,000 sq ft (13,935m2).
And ad agency WWAV Rapp Collins is looking for a central London HQ. Advised by Cluttons, it needs up to 50,000 sq ft (4,645m2) of offices.
