Adidas has agreed to lease 30,000 sq ft across two floors at the Daily Mirror’s former printworks at Herbal House, EC1, in Farringdon to house a new product showroom.
The 1920s warehouse in Clerkenwell has recently been refurbished by owner European real estate fund manager Aerium to provide 115,000 sq ft of space over 10 floors.
Adidas is understood to have taken the first and second floors at the building on a five-year lease with a five-year extension, paying around £65 per sq ft.
The property, as well as being the Daily Mirror’s former printing headquarters, has also been home to Central St Martins London School of Printing.
Other tenants at Herbal House include global design firm IDEO, which occupies the sixth and 7th floors, and online photograph printing company Photobox.
It is understood that the building will soon be fully let as the remaining space on the third and fourth floors is under offer.
Aerium declined to comment on the leasing deal. Adidas has been contacted for comment.
JLL advised on the deal.
