Adjudicator exonerates RRP in Welsh assembly rumpus

Independent adjudicators have cleared the Richard Rogers Partnership (RRP) of incompetence in estimating the cost of the Welsh assembly building.

The firm of architects was sacked last July from the Cardiff Bay project which is yet to be built. The assemblys temporary home is in Crickhowell House, on the bay.

The adjudicator, Harold Crowter Associates, awarded RRP £448,086 in outstanding fees and Welsh finance minister Edwina Harts claim against RRP for £6.9m was considered unsubstantiated and dismissed.
