Adobe clicks on White Collar Factory

Derwent-London-White-Collar-Factory-1Adobe is set to become the latest tech firm to move its UK headquarters from the South East to the City fringe as the battle for young talent intensifies.

The company is under offer to lease 40,000 sq ft at Derwent London’s White Collar Factory on Old Street, EC1, at a rent of around £62.50 per sq ft.

Adobe, advised by Colliers International, will take three floors in the 293,000 sq ft White Collar Factory, which is scheduled to complete in the third quarter of next year.

The firm’s European headquarters is currently Market House in Maidenhead, Berkshire, where it occupies around 50,000 sq ft on a lease expiring in 2023.

Some staff will remain in Maidenhead, but the Old Street office will become Adobe’s UK flagship.

Several tech giants have agreed similar moves in recent years in response to younger staff’s preference for working in vibrant central areas.

E-tailer Amazon is due to move into a huge new UK HQ at Brookfield’s Principal Place, EC2, in 2017, having previously been based in Slough, Berkshire.

Cushman & Wakefield and Pilcher Hershman are letting agents at White Collar Factory.
