AECOM has been selected as masterplanner for the 25,500-home redevelopment of Old Oak Common.
Seven bidders were shortlisted in the OJEU process by the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation, which is looking to establish an overarching approach for the 1,600-acre scheme.
The OPDC said the masterplanning contract would allow for greater certainty for landowners, investors and stakeholders, the development of a clear delivery, funding and land assembly strategies and a business plan for the OPDC as a future landowner.
It would also provide clarity and consensus on what site-wide infrastructure is needed and where it would be located, to allow for procurement and investment.
The final spatial masterplan is expected to be delivered in spring 2018.
The OPDC was established in April 2015 and has full planning powers within the 1,600 acre site that crosses the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing and Brent.
