AECOM has won a contract to deliver neighbourhood planning support across England.
The firm was awarded the contract by DCLG and will operate as a subcontractor for Locality, the nationwide network of community organisations, in delivering neighbourhood plans.
AECOM will help identify a community’s needs and opportunities for growth and regeneration.
Under the current programme, the first of its kind in the UK, AECOM has supported 80 communities across England in the production of their neighbourhood plans.
Stuart Woodin, technical director for neighbourhood planning and engagement at AECOM, said: “We are delighted to be playing a key role in the new neighbourhood planning contract, which underlines AECOM’s investment in the sector over the past three years and our employees’ enthusiasm for community regeneration.”
