AEW has raised another €400m for its European shed fund LOGISTIS, bringing its total equity to €1.7bn.
The fund had an intended final close of €1.3bn in December 2014, but opened again after investors asked to expand its portfolio in light of growing opportunities and the EU referendum.
LOGISTIS will target logistics hubs in continental Europe and focus on Germany and Benelux with a new target total size of €3bn.
Its current portfolio includes 99 logistics assets across Europe, 36 of which are under development.
Remy Vertupier, fund manager of LOGISTIS, said: “The past 18 months have seen a huge period of growth for LOGISTIS and, having fully committed the equity we raised at the end of 2014, we have a pipeline of attractive opportunities across our target markets as the demand for high-quality logistics properties continues to outweigh supply.”
