Gateway to London will be launched on Wednesday to encourage inward investment and business growth in the Thames Gateway.
Thames Gateway has been highlighted as the main growth area for London in the Mayor’s draft London Plan.
The area includes the boroughs of Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, City of London, Dartford, Enfield, Greenwich, Hackney, Haringey, Havering, Lewisham, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets, Thurrock and Waltham Forest.
The agency will be launched by Stephen Timms MP, minister for e-commerce and competitiveness, Michael Ward, chief executive of the London Development Agency, and former trade secretary, Anthony Nelson, the chair of Gateway to London.
