Agency wants properties to take starring role in UK film industry

Mayfair-based estate agency group John D Wood & Co has entered a new partnership to help it pitch properties as filming locations for the UK film industry.

The company will work with FilmFixer, which manages more than 8,000 film shoots annually, to provide locations from its 70,000-property portfolio across London and the South of England.

The agency said renting real estate as a filming location can be “a lucrative and rewarding opportunity” for asset owners.

Andrew Pavord, chairman and founder of FilmFixer, said: “Landowners will be able to earn significant fees if their properties are chosen for high-end TV shows from producers like Apple TV, Amazon and Netflix.”
