Agents on the scout for Chesterfield leisure tenants

Chesterfield-Elder-WayJomast Developments has appointed Savills and West Mark Estates as letting agents at its new Chesterfield Elder Way mixed-use leisure development on the site of the former Co-op department store in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

Chesterfield Elder Way will comprise six ground-floor restaurant units ranging from 3,305 sq ft  to 3,916 sq ft, along with a 40,000 sq ft hotel and 16,284 sq ft health and fitness unit.

The scheme is located near the town’s principal shopping areas, The Pavements, Vicars Lane and The Shambles.

Carlene Hughes, associate director in Savills leisure team, said: “With other key developments such as Chesterfield Waterside helping to boost the town’s retail footprint, this large market town will further become a key destination in the East Midlands for consumers.”

Adam Herald, development director at Jomast Developments, added: “This is an exciting opportunity to create a dominant and fully integrated leisure scheme in the heart of Chesterfield town centre which is currently lacking in national restaurant, hotel and gym operators. It also provides the opportunity to bring back to life this prominent and central former department store.”
