Agents seek final tenants for Glasgow’s City Park

Letting agents for Glasgow’s City Park office development are in discussions with potential occupiers about filling the remaining 50,000 sq ft of the 300,000 sq ft development.

The remaining area is situated on the second floor of the Grade B listed development on the edge of Glasgow city centre on junction 15 of the M8.

City Park has just completed deals covering 58,000 sq ft of space.

Infrastructure group Halcrow has taken 37,000 sq ft on the third floor of the development, alongside the Homebuy Group, which has already moved into a 15,500 sq ft area.

Glasgow Housing Association is taking 6,000 sq ft of space.

Dell took 67,000 sq ft of space last year on the first floor of the building.

Ken Campbell of City Park commented: “This is a big chunk of space that is likely to go to one or two parties.”

The market for Grade A stock in Glasgow city centre was flat until the early part of last year, when activity picked up significantly.

Campbell said that while City Park has Grade B specifications, it benefits from being on the edge of the city centre rather than out of town, and has better parking facilities than typical city centre locations.

“Everyone thought this building would be filled with call centres, but we have ended up with a mixture,” Campbell explained.

Other occupiers include Scottish Gas, children’s charity NCH and industrial firm Aggreko.
