A row over an air terminal has broken out near John Major’s home in Great Stukeley, near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
Protestors are up in arms over plans to build Britain’s first air, road and rail terminal at the deserted RAF Alconbury base. The site is close to where the former prime minister lives.
The Ministry of Defence and the British Airports Authority are backing the scheme. Alconbury Developments has applied to the council for outline planning permission.
