Airbnb’s valuation has soared to more than $100bn after its Wall Street debut.
Shares in the home-sharing business closed up $76.61, or 112.8%, at $144.71, more than double the offer price of $68 that raised $3.5bn for the company.
After just one day of trading Airbnb has become more valuable than three of the world’s biggest and more established hotel groups combined, with Marriott at $43bn, Hilton at $29bn and Intercontinental Hotels Group at $12bn.
