Alaska Property Group has struck a letting deal with Handelsbanken which effectively kick-starts the next phase of development at Shrewsbury Business Park in Shropshire.
Handelsbanken will move across the park into new office space on Anchorage Avenue by the end of 2015. Details of the letting were undisclosed. The Swedish lender first moved to Shrewsbury Business Park in 2008 and will relocate to larger, more modern premises.
The new building establishes the start of the £30m phase II expansion.
The second phase already has planning consent for 17 new units totalling around 161,500 sq ft of offices, plus a new convenience store and restaurant. There will also be 565 parking spaces and a second access road has now been formed off Wenlock Road.
The new office space ranges in size from 2,000 sq ft up to 30,000 sq ft.
Cooper Green Pooks is letting agent at the park.
