Aldi, the German discount retailer, will open stores in Spain next March.
The retailer’s competitor, Lidl, has had stores in various parts of the country for six years, whereas Aldi will initially limit its outlets to the Levante region, on the coast near Valencia.
Aldi is one the world’s biggest grocers, which 5,000 stores across the globe.
