Fingal County Council has approved a €220m (£188m) GDV residential scheme in Corballis, near Donabate, to the north of Dublin.
Aledo Donabate’s plans for the site include developing 1,020 homes, of which 530 will be apartments, consisting of one- to three-bedroom homes provided across seven buildings of four to five storeys in height. The other 490 homes will be two- to five-bedroom houses.
The development also includes two childcare facilities capable of looking after around 230 children.
A range of amenities for residents will be located on the ground floor of the apartment blocks, including three retail units, two cafés, a community use unit and a medical centre.
The scheme also includes the establishment of a new 32-acre nature park.
