Restructuring firm AlixPartners has been appointed to lead the sale of lingerie brand Agent Provocateur, according to the Guardian.
It says the private equity firm owning the company, 3i, has been investigating different options for its future, and that the brand could be headed for administration.
Five parties put in bids for the company last week.
The lingerie brand ran into difficulties last year.
Although 3i tried to sell the brand three years ago for as much as £250m, this time advisers were looking for more than the £30m Agent Provocateur owes to lenders.
