German insurance company Allianz has made its first property loan as part of a bank syndicate, providing €325m (£274.2m) towards the financing of CentrO shopping mall in Oberhausen, Germany.
The borrowers were British investors The Stadium Group and the Canadian Pension Plan Investment Board.
Allianz loaned the money alongside Helaba and real estate specialist Aareal Bank, which each contributed €162.5m.
Santander and Barclays acted as agents for the financing.
