Allsop reveals largest commercial catalogue since 2019

Allsop has released the catalogue for its first commercial property auction of 2023, featuring 129 lots, 23 of which are guided at or above £1m.

Allsop’s commercial auction arm sold 721 lots in 2022, raising more than £549m with an overall success rate of 90%.

George Walker, partner and auctioneer at Allsop, said: “Starting as we mean to go on, this is a strong catalogue of attractive investments with which to begin the year. Our largest February catalogue since 2019, it boasts an unusually wide breadth of opportunities, including portfolios from the likes of the London Borough of Bromley and BCP Council.

“We are offering a wide range of lots from an entire retail park and several retail parades to industrial ground rent assets, standalone shops let to Boots and William Hill among others, and a significant range of commercial and mixed-use properties across the country. As the market begins to settle to its new level, we are anticipating another busy year as investors seek to hedge against inflation with income-producing assets.”

Other sale highlights include:

  • Lot 28 (pictured) – Southampton: a long leasehold retail warehouse investment comprising 2, 3 and 4 units guided at £3.4m
  • Lot 20 – Christchurch: a freehold industrial ground rent investment, guided at a price of £1.36m+
  • Lot 35 – Hoddesdon: a long leasehold warehouse investment guided at a price of ££2.2m+

Allsop’s next commercial property auction will take place online on 9th February.
