Altessen wins planning for GlaxoSmithKline regeneration

Altessen, in partnership with Delancey and Essential Land, has won planning for the £150m regeneration of a former GlaxoSmithKline site.


Some 179 homes, a doctor’s surgery, a village green and footpaths will be built on the land at Langley Court in Beckenham, Kent.


The homes on the 28-acre site will include 64 three- to four-bedroom houses, 36 five-bedroom houses and 25 six-bedroom houses. Thirty-six two- and three-bedrooms flats are also proposed.


The development will also comprise 79 affordable homes – 46 affordable rent and 33 shared ownership.
