Robin Priest has been appointed as a senior advisor to Alvarez & Marsal’s European real estate advisory services division.
Priest, who spent four years with Deloitte as a lead partner for real estate corporate finance in London, will be working on restructuring assets, portfolios and businesses for the firm’s European clients.
He will continue in his role as of chairman of the Property Alliance Group and the recently formed Alliance Property Asset Management, which works with banks, funds, loan servicers and insolvency practitioners.
The appointment of Priest, who set up property outsourcing business Mapeley, comes after Alvarez & Marsal recruited Ian Morgan from European Resolution Capital in December last year and Patrick Anderson and Caspar Vredenbregt earlier in 2011.
Priest said he would be “helping clients to work through the current challenging market conditions and also to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the comprehensive restructuring of the European real estate sector, which is now firmly in play”.
