Plans to repurpose 39 spaces in London Wall Car Park, EC2, for use as a last-mile logistics hub to be operated by Amazon Logistics have been approved.
The plans will allow Amazon to deliver parcels within a 2km radius using pedestrian porters and cargo cycles instead of motorised vehicles.
A report from the City of London Corporation’s planning officers said the scheme would remove 85 vehicles and up to 23,000 vehicle journeys from central London’s roads each year.
