Amazon plans to expand its presence in the UK, opening a distribution centre close to Manchester airport in autumn and another centre in Coalville, Leicestershire, later in the year.
The centres bring to 12 the number of hubs Amazon has across the country, handling orders and distributing products.
The company plans to increase its workforce to 14,500 by the end of the year.
