Ambassador LB announces £7m Glasgow office refurbs

Ambassador LB is to embark on a £7m refurbishment of its three commercial buildings in Glasgow to deliver 60,000 sq ft of grade-A office space.

The joint venture between Glasgow-based property investor Ambassador Group and investment manager ICG-Longbow will also create new retail space at the Forsyth Building and digitally upgrade the other two properties – Granite House (pictured above) and the Ink Building.

Ambassador Group’s investment director Chris Richardson said: “At Ink, we have earmarked £3m for a new roof, glazing, lifts, reception and façade improvement works.

“The redevelopment will bring sought-after office floorplates of up to 4,500 sq ft to the market early in 2019.”

£3m has been earmarked for the refurbishment of the Ink Building.

Kevin Crowley, managing director of ICG-Longbow, added: “The refurbishment and digital upgrade will ensure our assets will meet the requirements of our customers in an ever-evolving real estate environment and future proofs our assets.’’

Savills and LSH are the joint letting agents at the Ink Building and Granite House.

CBRE and Savills are the joint office agents at Forsyth Building, while Culverwell and Syme are the joint retail agents at the property.

Syme is also the retail advisor at Granite House.
