Ami Kotecha, co-founder and group president of Amro Partners, has been appointed to the board of the British Property Federation.
Kotecha holds a number of board and advisory roles, including chair of the UK PropTech Association.
Its merger with the BFP was announced in April. It will bring together the BPF’s membership of 400 property owners, investors, developers and advisers with the UKPA’s community of more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, solution providers, venture capital investors and proptech innovators.
The UKPA’s board members and executive team are working with the BPF board on a strategy for driving innovation and tech adoption across the property sector.
The UKPA will become a legal subsidiary of the BPF and continue to deliver its programmes. The UKPA will continue to operate under its current name.
Kotecha said: “For 60 years, the BPF has been a powerful voice representing the interests of UK corporate real estate in government circles. Its intention to merge with the UKPA shows its commitment to bringing the tech and real estate sectors closer together to address the most urgent issues facing our sector – decarbonisation, dislocation, and digital transformation.”
