Amicus slams NAB over bank closures

Amicus has accused National Australia Bank (NAB) of reneging on its promise made three years ago to keep “last bank in town” branches open.

NAB is closing 31 branches at its Yorkshire and Clydesdale banks. Some towns in Scotland will be left without any bank branch.

The closures are part of a bigger restructuring programme which will see about 100 branches closed over the next 12-18 months.
