Amro Partners has announced its £80m plans to redevelop the Ilford Conservative Club, IG1, into a build-to-rent development providing 200 homes.
The developer plans to launch a public consultation on its plans to redevelop the site, located in the London borough of Redbridge, near Ilford’s Elizabeth line tube station.
Amro Partners plans to either demolish and redevelop or retain heritage aspects of the Ilford Conservative Club in its proposed residential-led development.
The developer says it plans to provide public space and retain the social and public element of the building in its development.
It plans to acquire the development at an undisclosed price, subject to planning approval.
Amro Partners investment director Tom Donnachie said: “This will be our first BTR project in Ilford and provides an opportunity to bring forward a scheme in a location that has been transformed by the Elizabeth Line.
“We are focussed on submitting planning permission in Q2 2023 and will work closely with key stakeholders in order to do so. The scheme will achieve exceptional ESG credentials, including BREEAM Outstanding.”
